Well, here we are. Another year has come and gone. I hope 2022 was kind to you all.
When I was younger, I remember wanting time to go faster. I couldn’t wait to drive, have a career of my own, to make my own money, essentially, I couldn’t wait to be an adult. My folks would chuckle and always heed a gentle warning “the older you get, the faster time goes. Enjoy the now.”
That phrase often runs through my mind. They were right. Adulting isn’t as much fun as I thought.
2022 was an admirable year. There were definitely some shining moments of adventure, laughter, and new experiences. However, 2022 also took a loved one away from me. Mourning a loss is always a challenging path to navigate. I know I’m not alone in that one.
And so, as I look upon 2023, I have deemed it the year of light, love and laughter. Adventures are in the works for this year and my career has taken a new path. There are also some things happening behind the scenes in regards to my writing that I can’t quite share with you yet. Stay tuned!
….also, who knows, maybe this will be the year I actually stay consistent with my blog.
